Our Community

The City of Kasson has a population of approximately 6,010.  Kasson is located on highway 14, 15 miles west of Rochester, Minnesota.  Kasson has an excellent school system with strong emphasis on academic achievements. The community features several churches representing a good mix of religious faiths.  Kasson is known for it’s beautiful city parks with pool, tennis courts, and softball fields.  Kasson has an active public library with a popular summer reading program.Single family housing makes up most of the housing opportunity in Kasson. A variety of town houses and apartments give diversity to the community. An assisted living facility was constructed and opened in 2005. A large mobile home park is located on the south west edge of town. Developers continue to build new homes in several areas of the community.Kasson’s business community continues to be strong and is growing. Kasson has the largest retail district in Dodge County. Several businesses have expanded or relocated into new facilities over the past five years.

Kasson’s Commercial & Industrial Park continues to grow.  Several businesses have expanded and moved into new larger facilities in the Commercial & Industrial Park.  Good commercial lots remain available for development by any company looking to locate in a sound, progressive community.
